Actually, I was thinking of a kidney-shaped swimming pool. --S

Please tell me more about the lithotripsies.* I know of them only

theoretically. I am interested in the pain you speak of. If I

understand you correctly, after the blasting there is residual pain

in the kidneys, and it gets cumulatively worse? Is this what you

mean by " the lithos get harder everytime? "

Thanks for any more info,

Steve

* For those tuning in, that's where they put you in a tank of water

and focus a sonic blast made with an electric spark or a laser at

your affected kidney in order to break up the stone(s). --S

Thanks for the blow-by-blow, . The urologist just wanted me to

drink lots and lots more water and see if that wouldn't do the trick.

I am OK now, but last week was one hell of a week between the

national tragedy and my inner turmoil. And, just as we have no idea

when, where, or if terrorists will strike again, I have no idea when,

where, or if my kidneys will make more stones. I hope that the

answers to both uncertainties are " never again. "
