Dawn, it sounds like a tough decision. I know this may not help, but I

would trust my instincts on this one. Are you willing to trust this

surgeon one more time? What happens if you are not satisfied this next

time? Would you be able to have a revision? What attracted you to the

other surgeon? Is it worth risking the unknown to go to the other

surgeon?

dear dawn

please go to yahoo plastic surgery and ask your important qiestion.

From the reading I have done there and other places over the last four

years, I would say that a surgeon who works with MANY post Gb patients

with redundant skin is far better than just a plain old PS. They are

not the same. You have to know 'tired skin,'be experienced in

judgement about where to pull from to get beswt result, etc. I have

not had any surgery, but there are MANy who have who can guide you.

It is only my two cent's worth. a piece of cloth can be replaced if it

is cut and sewn poorly. A body is only one to a person. Please look

into going to someone who is VASTLY experienced with post GB patients.

Make sure you saee pictures of the docws work, and TALK to those he

has done and see with your own eye results more than a year out. I

have noticed some docs belong to the can't cut straight gang. Others

belong to the 'afriad to pull very much up, down or backward' gang.

others belong to the 'godd judgment' gang and have TONS of experience,

and don't try to do EVERYTHING well, but have 2 or 3 specialities.

Hang in there, all will be w

The most common complaint I hear around here is that they don't get the area

above the stomach tight enough. If you have a vertical incision from an

RNY, it's a great place to go in and tighten. Most PS would avoid a new

scar, but we may as well take advantage of the old one. And then you can

always tattoo it.

,

I did ask her to go back vertically. She insisted that I would have a

rounded sag. I was telling hubby this morning that I could care less about

the scars...they fade anyway. I know he'd love me no matter what. I just

want to look decent dressed. Now, my shapely pants won't fasten around my

waist. I think it is a matter of bulk. Lipo was not done and I think that's

the biggest part of the problem.

Oh by the way...I do tattoos myself. It started as a hobby and I guess it

still is, as I only charge very little...enough to pay for supplies. I'm

actually good at it.

Thanks for your input,

Dawn
