Guest guest
I had some morning nausea and I found that saltine crackers would help. I would eat one or two first thing in the morning and I found my stomach would settle quicker. I also found that tums would help too. Kathy M. Guest guest
I had nausea in the morning to for a long time. My dr. gave me Compazine. It worked great within 5 minutes. I also used to eat saltine crackers when I first got up. That helped and eventually I just ate the crackers w/o the meds and then no more crackers. I'm 4 months out and haven't had nausea for about 1 1/2 months. Guest guest
> has anyone heard anything about mary y in st louis?? > she and i were in the hospital together in ocean > springs. > Joann, just emailed me today- she's doing pretty good, I think.. she hasn't told me anything was up... The early AM nausea might be due to hunger.. I've heard that keeping a few saltines at the bedside to eat before even getting out of bed helps a lot.. I also noticed this nausea improved after I started taking Prevacid, so that too might help. As for your protein troubles, does your lactose intolerance extend to yogurt and cottage cheese? If not, you might try the shake posted here recently. If you can't tolerate even yogurt & cc, you might try drinking soy milk or almond milk.. both have a decent amount of protein & are nondairy. I don't like the soymilk myself, but the almond milk is ok. Another idea might be to make breakfast tacos- chorizo or sausage, egg, sauteed onions (if you can tolerate them.. I can, but some folk can't), a little seasoning, maybe a bit of hash brown potatos.. cook together, then roll up in a flour tortilla. Great source of portable early am protein.. and if you like them, you can make up a big batch, wrap them individually, then just grab, nuke, & run out the door in the morning. Hope these ideas help a bit- Hugs, Liane =)
