Ice.... FMLA url

Hi Ice,

yup I hear ya! I looked into the FMLA for myself, and the way I understood it,

it wouldn't apply to me, say's it's for companies with 50 or more employees (?)

the company I work for is just a small family owned company, there are

technically only 2 employees all the other people there are contrat labor and I

don't think that counts ( still way less than 50 people tho either way).

Unemployment is an option, altho it'll take almost 4 months at least before

you'd get anything. I'm still pre- op yet, so just in case I do get my insurance

to approve this surgery, I'm putting 50.00 - 75.00 a week back to help get us

thur that time. It's a pinch on the wallet now to tho, but better than nothing

later I guess.

Re: what about books?

Somebody said something about that to me. I came back from the doc

today and he said to be off my feet for another 11 days. I talked to

the assistant mgr so I am not sure how mad the mgr is at this

point... not sure I care anymore. Even if he can't fire me, he can

make it living #*$ for me to work there. I will know more on the

26th but until then, I am not gonna worry any more about it. They

put me on Arthrotec for a week to see if it helps... if it does not,

then it is to the ORoom to get the spur removed (which is 6-8 weeks

off work as well).... money will be tight but we have come through

other hard times .... we shall again.

Thanks for the information. I have to look into how to get it but

even if I don't and he fires me, I think I will have the unemployment

option as well.
