Guest guest
Dr. Green recommended to us to use Iron Citrate (one capsule per day, I will have to check the bottle for dosage if you want) but his warning was that it has a tendency to be constipating. He prefers Blackstrap Molasses (must be blackstrap) which has iron and other good things in it, but to get 1 Tablespoon a day in our son was impossible. (too strong tasting) So we opted for the supplements and did not notice any constipation. Last month, Dr. Green recommended that we stop the iron citrate because it can promote bacterial growth and our son has had a recurring bacterial infection since Feb. Hope this helps.
