Re: Which Zip-n-Squeeze products are the most useful? Other products?

I bought the jaw wrap and took it to the hospital -- it was better

than the ice pack they used once or twice (which didn't quite conform

to my face as well, and was filled with crushed ice... so it melted

and/or spilled!). The gel packs came with it, so you don't need to

buy them separately.

I bought a " bed wedge " that reclines at 30 degrees (I believe). I

didn't use it much the first week or so, because it didn't give me

enough support -- since I had such a problem with congestion/blood

clots/breathing, I acutally slept nearly sitting up (basically with

about 4 pillows piled behind me in the same position I use when I'm

reading in bed). After another week or two I felt comfortable

reclining more, and so now I've been using the bed wedge for awhile

with another pillow on top. I also keep a pillow under my knees (if

I'm sleeping on my back) or between my knees (if I'm sleeping on my

side) to reduce tension/stress in my lower back.

Hi. I used the jaw wraps and think they're wonderful -- i still use

them for occasional aches and pains, and have loaned them to a few

friends who've had wisdom teeth out, as well.

I received with them both the cold and the hot packs -- at least,

packs suitable for both hot and cold. Used both (ice for the first 49

hours, then heat).

If you'll be wired or tightly banded shut, you'll probably find the

zippie bags useful. I was neither, so didn't really need those.

The " bunny ears " pack I got in the hospital was packed with ice. I

did take it home, and it worked in the hospital, but it was drippy,

the ties didn't hold as well as the Velcro, and in general, the zns

wrap was far superior.

Can't help with the body pillow.

Thanks, everybody, for the replies.

Looks like getting that wrap is a good idea + some zippie bags.
