Guest guest
Oh, how I wish this worked for me. I juice half a lemon in water and drink it most mornings when I first wake up (right after I use the restroom) and it doesn't help at all. I actually started it as a sort of liver cleanse. Does it matter if the drink is warm or not. My lemons and water are both room temp. Would warm be better? Or juice a few pears and drink that? > Stacey

Would warm be better?I think warm is always better, especially first thing in the morning. I usually heat up my water a little bit so it's warm, then add the lemon juice. I don't like to heat up the lemon with it because I figure since it's raw, I might as well keep it that was. Guest guest
It was my MIL who told me she and most of her geriatric friends used this and it helped most of them. Yes, warm water. Guest guest
It might take longer to work if it's cold but I really couldn't say for sure. I do it slightly warm but I should try to find that cleanse book I guess. Have you tried a combo of prune and pear juice? Vince corrected me today in that the lemon water is for cleansing, not necessarily erm...getting things moving, as it were. Are you eating cheese at all? Because cheese definitely causes C in me (which, given that I have UC might not be a bad thing). Guest guest
I do eat cheese but not a huge amount. When I have C, I don't eat more or less cheese than when I'm regular. I do try to cut back a little though. Yesterday, I maybe had 1 TBS of blue. Prune juice has not been super effective for me either.... that's why I just eat prunes now... they are as effective as the juice for me. I've never tried pears. Thanks!!!
