Mara,

I bought the meat slicer and I'm very happy with it. It lists for 59.99 on the web site with free shipping. I went online and googled 'coupon codes for Heartland America' and got a coupon code for 10.00 off. With tax, etc, I only paid 53.00 for it. I sliced up pork loin last week for sandwiches for the kids and Dad who was visiting and it's really easy to use and clean. It is small enough to leave on the counter and it's light. Thanks Marilyn, for letting us know about it.

It is the Savoureux Pro line meat slicer on heartlandamerica.com.

Savoreux pro-line. List price was $469.95. Heartland price was

$59.95 plus shipping.

This has turned out to be one of the best kitchen tools I've picked up in

quite awhile. I'm real happy with being able to have thin sliced beef,

pork, chicken and turkey.

Harry likes the ease of use and ease of cleaning. (I do the cooking. He

does the slicing and clean up.)

Lucky you, that makes it a lot easier.

I just looked at amazon though, and the reviews are really bad for it -

so I'm thinking it's a little hit or miss whether you get one that works well.

I imagine the happy people didn't bother writing in. They ship from the

same place - and there are some comments that the customer service

for returns are not good.

Maybe I'll wait until Holly gets hers and see how well it works.
