Guest guest
Hey everyone, My son is 6 1/2 months old. We mentioned to our pediatician on numerous occasions that his head was flat and were brushed off. Thankfully we decided to switch doctors in the same practice (because Dr. #1 was giving me a hard time about spliting his shots.) Upon our first visit with the new doctor she mentions to us that our son's head is flat and for us to get him checked our by a specialist. Anyway long story short he was fitted last Thursday at Hanger and we are just waiting for the helmet to come in. How long does it usually take for it to come in? They told us it should be in this week but we have not heard anything. http://garthanderin.blogspot.com/
Guest guest
Just be careful with the hanger band. Some mothers here in the new york area were not satisfied with the bands fit and the orthos and had to switch to other providers. I hope that your issue is not a sign of poor care right off the bat. Mabye others have been to your provider and can help you out. Where are you located. Guest guest
I saw the pictures of your son in your blog and I just have to say he is sooo cute! My son Gavin's head shape is almost identical to your sons. We also have a Hanger helmet..from the Portland, Oregon office. He has been in it about 8 weeks and will be 10 months old in a week. When we were initially scanned for the helmet it took 1 month before we got it. I didn't know at the time but I should have demanded a new helmet be made. Luckily it fit ok after a few adjustments. If they are saying they can get the helmet to you in 2 days after you get re-scanned, I hope that will be true..but be persistent it will pay off in the end! Good luck. Guest guest
Thanks for the info... I just viewed your blog and Gavin is beautiful! We are just playing it by ear right now I will be asking a lot of questions tomorrow at the Re-Scan appoinment. How did Gavin adjust to wearing the helmet at first? > > > > From: erinandgarth erinandgarth@ > > Subject: Hanger Cranial Band > > Plagiocephaly > > Date: Thursday, July 24, 2008, 12:48 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hey everyone, > > My son is 6 1/2 months old. Guest guest
My son is currently being treated at Cranial Tech after two failed Hanger Bands. Since I have had expereince with both products, I can tell you that there are differences between the two. Feel free to email me privately if you would like to know more about our experience. ____________________________________________________________ Need cash? Click to get a loan.
