Guest guest
- Yes remember the reason you did this..... to gain a healthy life! Every doctor is different in how they tell their patients to restart eating food, my doctor had me eating a srambled egg 1oz and cottage cheese 5 days out. And after 3 weeks moved me up to eating anything I wanted that wasn't super hard.- 2 oz... I have had NO problems and have never felt hungry, I eat 3 meals a day and 1-2 snacks i am at 8 1/2 weeks now and eat between 3-4 oz of food. Always eating my protein first then veggies/friut and once in awhile I do have a bite or so of carbs..... anyways my point is don't make yourself go crazy thinking you are starving ....give yourself something soft and a little heavy, oatmeal, egg, cottage cheese and it will help satisfy you. Also don't drink during your meals and at least 30-45 min afterwards longer if you can.... Then it won't wash the food out of your pouch..... GOod luck and keep your chin up.... it does get better!!! Guest guest
, I'm sorry you have to go through the anxiety of hunger during this time. The thoughts and advise that have been given thus far are pretty much on target with my thoughts. While I did (still do from time to time) have rumblings in my tumbly, I just did not " feel " hungry. In the first 6 weeks or so, I had to constantly remind myself to eat in order to get the protien in. Throwing up is the worst and I can only tell you that my experiece has to do with eating to fast. I've thrown up maybe five times in 19 weeks and hate it each time. For me its a learning process to understand my body tolerances and be cognisent of them each time I put something in my mouth. I hope that you get through this period with little else in terms of problems. I want to encourage to concentrate on your main goal, a better life for yourself. WLS is merely a tool to help you obtain that goal, it is up to you to make the best of it and to work with your body and physician to achieve it. Best of luck. -Ray > hello everyone,im 2 1/2 weeks, post op,i go back to drs tommorow, > first im starving, ive had 3 bad experiences, with throwing up, <<<<SNIP>>>>>
