Guest guest
Who polished out your stains? Your dentist? Also was this done after the braces were removed? Sorry just planning ahead for my beautiful smile (browns not very flattering for a $35,000 smile). Guest guest
Jane, If you are asking me--no one has polished out my stains. I am in braces for a few more months. My wife, the dental assistant, tells me that it can be done. Guest guest
No glues just a few porceline fillings...I'll ask about those options, thanks (and I do have dry mouth pretty bad) Also strangely one side of my palate feels soft like bubble gum stuck on the roof of my mouth. Guest guest
Thanks! Guest guest
I was very worried about yucky breath. I was told not to use regular mouthwash because of the alcohol but ACT flouride rinse does not have any so I used that. I didn't get permission or ask, I just used it and I had no side effects that I know of. I also bought rembrant minty drops and ran it across my teeth and bands and then sorta sucked it in and onto my tongue. I also bought binaca breath spray which I just pointed at my teeth and sprayed. I also stopped talking to people after my hunger was so bad I was cranky & not in the mood to talk to anyone. Then I didn't care about my breath. :-) T. > > I am finished with my perscription mouthwash chlorohexidine and now > am rinsing with saltwater after every meal as well as using my baby > toothbrush 2-3 times a day. Guest guest
Hiya, I'm around... I check the emails but try not to spend too much time here because nothing will ever get done! I realized today when reading the posts the people were saying " I have my surgery March 9th " ... mine was January 24th and I have no idea where the entire month of February went! (I should go back and read my " sent messages " mailbox... it's like a diary of the lost month.) I went back to the surgeon today after 1 week in rubber bands. I have been wearing them more than he suggested, I feel like my bite falls into the right place better with the bands... when I remove them it seems to recess a bit. So he said I should wear them as much as I like for the next two weeks. He told me to make an appointment with the ortho to determine what kind os tweaking in gonna happen. As for my diet, I'm being bad. I've have almost no discomfort and I can open my mouth pretty wide... last week it was a little less than 2 fingers, now it's nearly 3. I have been cutting up foods that I should not be eating (like steak) into little little bite-sized pieces and only chewing them lightly. I got a lecture today at the surgeon. Now, my biggest problem is trying to find time to eat! I'm eating lots of pasta but trying not to because I kinda like my 95lb. body. I've been wearing that mini-skirt I bought for my reunion all the time... by the time the weather is warmer for me to really wear it, it will probably no longer fit so I'm taking advantage while I can. I'm eating lots of chicken too- and meat. My body was starving for meat... I could never be a vegetarian- that's furshur! And going forward, I'm gonna try not to eat hard foods. even cut up small... it was just like the floodgates were open and there was no stopping me! On a personal note, all of my bags have arrived from the factory and I was able to call my stores (yay!) and tell them to expect shipment... that means that they will be on the shelves by the end of the week! That is really exciting because it's been a while since my last full season was actually on shelves across the country. I'll tell ya- this site was really helpful when I was all wired and depressed... when I could not speak to anyone I was getting (irrationally) nervous that my stores would all call & cancel their orders... the positive feedback from everyone who looked at my site was really helpful. Thanks for that too. I'll let you know what the orthodontist says when I speak to him... it would be nice to have a time frame estimate for when the braces might come off... hehehe... so optimistic I am now! Hope you're feeling good and I know you already know it but as soon as those bands come off, you'll almost forgot how intensely aggravating being tied shut felt like. Almost. I figure in 2 weeks I'll forget completely. Almost. hehehe. At least I'm back to my old self! More Later! T. > > Tova, > > > I was wondering where you have been! Guest guest
Jane, Thats me. You nailed it. Glad I am not the only one going down this path. Today is Day 6 after surgery. The baby toothbrush works great. Good Luck.
