Guest guest
Hi Irene, Thank you for writing yesterday.... I am feeling better today. Yours and everyone's feedback and support was very helpful. I know now I should have called sooner, but I also know why I didn't call for two days. I didn't know if my problems were due to my error and wanted to try to correct how I was taking the meds first. I at that point didn't know I should be taking so much more of the motrin, so I wouldn't have known to call or that something was wrong with the instructions I received originally. Anyway, now I know about calling the doctor right away!!! I have since writing that original post spoken with my doctor again. I meet with him tomorrow and plan to talk with him about everything that happened just so I know the whole story and he knows the whole story. Initially, it appears that the error is with the residents. They were responsible for discharging me. I will know definitely tomorrow, but the Doctor was sincerely surprised that I wasn't told about the motrin. He was also surprised that I wasn't given his personal number. But you know what?! The working with the residents has been like dealing with the 3 stooges. I have spoken to all of them when calling after hours (before getting the doctor's number) and they all say something different about all the meds. Isn't that winning!?!?! I have had problems with them all along. Anyway, at this point, I feel it's important that that my doctor be aware of my experience with those residents. I am much more rested today and am feeling better emotionally... How are things going missing your daughter?? That must be rough! I will keep in mind planning a little shopping excursion. :)Good idea! I tried a walk, but it was so cold where I live that the freezing air about did in my raw nasal passages! My birthday is next week though and that should make for good present opening.... And that's definitely positive! Anyway, thank you again... take care, Katja
Guest guest
Katja, I'm glad you're feeling better. Definitely discuss the situation with your surgeon - that's the only way for the residents to learn to pay more attention to what their patients are telling them! Hopefully, they'll get better at it before they graduate . My daughter is back home with me, going through her " terrible 2s " , but I'm glad she's back. I also have a lot of work to do - I'm working from home part-time now, and have to finish a project early next week ( " Do you think you can get it done by early Tuesday " ?) . I love my supervisor, but we always have so much work to do, it's ridiculous! Take care. Irene. > > Hi Irene, > Thank you for writing yesterday.... I am feeling better today.
