Hope you're taking the real thing--much more potent than garlic pills: at least one raw garlic clove daily. I chop mine up into pieces as tiny as I can get them, and then swallow those down whole with my shake or whatever (don't like the actual taste of the stuff). I had gone off my garlic pre-op and for a few months afterwards as well, per doc's suggestion. Got 2 colds in one month--after at least 10 years with none--and promptly went back on my garlic. No colds at all since then. Besides the blood-thinning properties, it's a GREAT anti-oxidant. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ > > Personally, my phlilosophy is the least amount of chemicals I add to my > body, the better off I am. > ------------------------------- Oh, hear, HEAR, Dan! My body is just a bunch of chemicals, food is just a bunch of chemicals. Everything whether " natural " or man made, starts with chemicals.
