Guest guest
I have been taking Syn-flex for over a month now, and can't say enough good things about it. I can only say that almost all the time now, I am completely unaware that I ever had any problems with my knees! Prior to taking Syn-flex, I was taking Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM, with pretty good success - actually, I was singing *its* praises. But the Syn-flex is amazing - I can only assume that it is a lot more absorbable than the capsules I was taking before. --- Start weight 365# Lap RnY, Distal - Dr. s Vanderbilt University Hospital Surgery date June 3, 2002 Current weight 205# ----- Original Message ----- > My nephew has postponed his surgery because he is wary of complications, and > also because his surgeon said absolutely NO Vioxx. Guest guest
Oh, I forgot to mention that I have an ample supply of Darvocet,,,,and take one about every four or five days when it gets really really bad,,,,,just hate taking anything really but sometimes it is either that or cave a lie down. I think that might happen before I am ready anyway and hate to do it, but I take the drug when I need it,,,,but not often. The docs weren't sure exactly WHAT to give me in place....but they all said the same thing...NO Vioxx!! They sent me home with Darvocet. At the time I was kinda ticked because I had always thought of Darvocet as a " baby " drug, and was convinced that I needed something much more BIG GUNS if you know what I mean. But I gotta tell ya.......it is working great! It is not by any means as long life as Vioxx.......after 4-6 hours the pain is back......but it works long enough for me to get the the laundry or housecleaning done. Vioxx lasted all day and night. I am sad about the Vioxx and wish there was a great alternative.....but for now I will have to settle for the 4-6 hours I get with the Darvocet. I really feel for your nephew......constant pain sucks......and for some reason most docs just don't seem to care enough. I hope all works out for him. P.
