Guest guest
Hello list-mates, I'm so exited, I'm going on a long trip to the USA - SCD country As I said to one of my friends - I'm going to see the famous Whole foods! So of course first thing for me is to ask your advices, suggestions and guidance about almost everything. Long story short, we'll stay in Pleasant Hill, CA, near San Francisco so anything about that area will be helpful to know. We'll be living in a hotel with small kitchen - stove top and microwave (not healthy I know but at least is something. I'll bring my immersion blender with me. I don't eat yogurt so that won't be a problem. But I have a lot of questions about: 1. Flight - JODI Please, you are our most recent traveler. Any problems with food, with TSA? 2. Legal thing to by form the store. What stores to by from. 3. Any particular restaurants if we want to go out. 4. And last but not least, not at all, we'll stay in New York for 24 hours and of course we want to make the best of it. I know it sounds naive, but it is one of the two USA cities I always wanted to visit and now it's happening. (BTW the other one is New Orleans, I'm so envious Marilyn) So any advices for New York? Don't be shy, please Restaurant to go to dinner? Well, I'm over my head because it will be my first trip since I was diagnosed and since I started SCD. Actually at the 6 of March it will be 2 years for me. I'm celebrating it in San Francisco! But I have only 6 days to prepare for the long flight , very long a night in New York and another flight. So once again any advice will be helpful. Go ahead! TIA Yana Soon to be 2 years on SCD PS. I have to say that I don't eat a lot of things - mostly meat and veggies and recently I started testing eggs. I hope it won't be too hard to prepare these in the hotel.
