Guest guest
Anyone? > > Hi all, > I have a 5 yr old on the spectrum with FPIES (food protein-induced enterocolitis), multiple allergies/intolerances and some immune disorder. We were advised to do SCD back in October of '08 to deal with his hypoglycemia, but were told we only needed to restrict to all SCD legal foods, not do the stages. We did that for a year and saw some amazing improvements. However, his GI issues never reconciled. He hadn't had a normal formed stool since he was 2 1/2. We restarted the diet back on 2/8/10 and are just about to start Stage 2 foods. And we have again seen amazing cognitive/language/social improvements. His stools have also gotten formed and less fetid-smelling, but for some reason are still army-green. > > Does anyone have any idea what the green means if the odor and consistency of them is normal? He's currently eating carrots, acorn squash, chicken, beef, duck and quail eggs, applesauce, pearsauce, and bananas along with the electrolyte fluid. > > Thanks in advance! > Stacie > Mom to Will, 5, SCD 2-8-10 >
