Guest guest
Hi connie, Wow your organised down to a teet by the sounds of it. I only found this site a week before my surgery so i didnt really have time to prepare the physical elements tho these guys helped me mentally prepare. i can say that it was about the 3rd or 4th week post op that i started allowing visitors. The first week i was in hospital and the 2nd and 3rd i had an infection and the flu so felt pretty blur! Other than occupying myself on this site i did find that time dragged in those first inital stages of recovery. Luckly i live about 2 mins from the beach so walks - tho only short - would provide a bit of a change in my 'new' daily routine. Some days i felt really restless and that i wanted to be off out with my friends, tho i knew if it psuhed myself i would be tired by half way through the day. I found sitting in what became known as 'sick bay', the tv with a whole load of my fave vids (catherine cookson) helped pass the time! lol..... i hope this helps. sure you will find pleantly of tips here! good luck with the prep! and the surgery. kind regards kat_UK > Hay all you Veterans, > > I am having my surgery hopefully the first week of June and am doing > what I can to hopefully make life a little easier after surgery. > I'm in the middle of a massive spring cleaning, have started > freezing meals for my family to have after my surgery, and have also > been assigning some of my chores (which is everything) to 2 of my > kids, ages 9 and 6 (my husband will take care of the rest).
