Re: incisions on the outside?

I had two small incisions on the outside of my lower jaw. I am five

weeks post op and they are not even noticeable anymore. They

required one stitch each and did not give me any problems. Everyone

says they don't even notice the spot unless I point it out. My OS

said he needed to cut because of the angle he needed to put the

screw. Hope that helps!

Amen, Casey. Me, too.

Some docs do, and some docs don't. Mine did, for the same reason

yours did -- to get the best angle on the screws.

Honestly, these little cuts are nothing to worry about at all. I had

three stitches in each of mine, I think - - and I would defy anybody

to find the site at this point. The stitches were removed at my first

appointment post-op. No pain, no problem healing, no nothing.
