Guest guest
Well I haven't been through surgery yet but I'm planning a similar last summer event for myself. This is what I've got down for my eating-fest marathon one week pre-surgery so far: 1) Pasta - i'm italian, i don't know how i will live without pasta al dente for so long 2) Some good thin crispy crusted pizza 3) Nachos with cheese and guacamole 4) A nice juicy steak - even if i can't chew it whole it will be a long time befoe i can eat it again 5) Apples - chopped up into crunchy pieces 6) Cotoletta milanese a.k.a. breadcrusted veal Viennese style with little choppped tomatoes and basil poured on top 7)SUSHI!! 8)Pad thai with prawns 9) Chicken cocunut curry thai style 10) Shrimp and prawns any style - i love them 11) Crispy spicy beef And i've also a list of things i'm trying to avoid because they will be the only thing i will be eating for a while and i don't want to get sick of them already: 1) Milkshakes - i love banana milkshakes 2) jello 3) rice 4) soups in general including chicken broth which personally i really like 5) ice-cream 6) yoghurt LOL, I know, I sound insane but i'm not. I'm just big into pre- organizing things:-) Let us know what your last supper is like! Guest guest
I think the pre-op eating marathon was the best part of the ordeal...Gain weight? No problem, lost it in about 2 days Don't try to force it into one meal. Definitely spread it out for about a week before. It's also a good excuse to get together with friends before you will want to ignore them for a while later. As for me, I had: -Thick crust extra cheesy spingone pizza -Mozzarella sticks -Philly steak sandwich -Lots of crispy french fries -Chicken Lad Nar -Scones -Cookies -My Boyfriend's version of chicken alfredo and broccoli -Carrots (I could eat a while bag in a sitting. I think I may have been a rabbit in a past life...) -Apples -We had 2 nacho/margarita parties at my house. -And finally, my last meal was at Chili's. My mom and I shared chips and salsa and then I had a steak. It's official, now I'm hungry! Out of all of that and at 4 weeks post-op the only thing on that list I could eat right now is the noodles in the alfredo and the toppings from the nachos. The lesson? EAT IT WHILE YOU CAN! Not that you didn't already know that Bon Apetit! > > > > Hey, everyone. > > > > Please tell me all the foods you are dreaming of eating, things that > > sound good, the first thing you want to eat when eating is OK'ed.
