Yes, bowel habits tend to change and making sure to get your fiber and

water will help that. Yes, absorption also changes, hence the reason

for splitting the times you take vitamins and minerals since you cannot

absorb more than a certain amount at one time. This is also the reason

for needing to take B12 (and as of the most recent ASBS annual meeting

injecting is still the most fool-proof way of ensuring it gets directly

into your bloodstream, followed by sublingual (under the tongue)),

since you cannot absorb enough of it from the foods you eat.
