Hi all, as you should already have known unless you DARED to not

read my post. In which case I will find you and kill you. lol Okay

never mind. Something to help the new post operative as I discoverd

in the hospital and still use. Liquids are easy to go down for me

but sometimes I need a change from the water or watered down juice

or Crystal Lite. Take a small amount of skim mild and add your

protein powder and then water it down with ice. Just for taste and

making it a treat instead of a chore add a little orange juice (100%

natural of course with no pulp or pureed) Anyway, it is an any time

treat as it is liquid and taste like a mild Dreamsicle. I also

tried some yogurt with organic fruit baby food to taste with a tiny

bit of sugar twin and my protein powder and it went down fine. I

have not had ANY problems with food coming back up or non

tolerance. In the hospital they were things like pureed sauteed

beef on a skewer with gravy over confetti rice. It looked like a

dark brown soupy mush but was actually quite palatable. I didn't

waste time with things like the pureed buttermilk pancakes with

syrup lol or the mixed green salad with balsamic vinegar all

pureed. Just watch what you eat off those first few pureed trays as

they are not supposed to be taken in by the proverbial US. Take

care all. May feel like checkin on the list this evening...warmly

Don't forget the unsweetened Kool-aid that you can add Splenda to.

From that I make my own popsicles, too. Not carbonated. I have tried

Fruit2o, but do not like it. I can drink the Propel flavored waters,

but crave the lemonade flavored Kool-aid!

I went to a mall yesterday, and there was a Wolfgang Puck's. I got

myself a tea (into week 5 now, so I can have it ). It was infused

with " tropical fruit flavors " , but sugarless. I added my splenda, and

was in heaven. So refreshing and yummy! Unfortunately it probably had

caffeine, but through caution to the wind. It brought me back to life

on a sweltering 95 degree Florida day! Janet

Welcome home and sorry that you had such a rough time of things.

I am very happy to see they did not operate on your sense of humor!

Keep up the positive attitude and welcome to loserhood.
