Guest guest
It could be, Bob, that you are. I was. I actually had a weird wizzie that had an extra cusp. It's where my 12-year molar should be, and the 12-year molar is where my 6-year molar should be, if you can follow all that. Anyhow, the result was that I kept chomping down on the scar tissue on that side. Nope, I wasn't numb -- which made it a bigger ouchie. But I couldn't help it. I was finally ready to yank the danged thing. (Ominous note: all my dental experts said, " No. Keep it. You may need it one day for a bridge. " AARGH!!!) Anyhow, once we got it ground down enough, the cheek-chomping stopped. I did have to be pretty insistent to get any attention directed there. If such doesn't help/isn't appropriate, there is something called a Z-plasty, which I went in expecting to have, pre-medicated and all, that can reduce scar tissue. My surgeon decided that in my case, it might do more harm than help, and he didn't do it. C. > > Dan, > > How does it feel to chew food. I still have a hard time.
