Guest guest
First of all, sometimes the skin will tighten up a little. It can take a couple of years, but it ususally improves some. As far as what is the last to go, that varies with different people, but with a lot of us, the middle is the last to go. Also, sometimes what looks like fat is actually just extra skin. The extra skin around the abdomen is pretty hard to get rid of without surgery. Some people just have the excess skin removed and some have a whole abdominal reconstruction, which also involves the muscles. Either way it's well worth the money and the pain. Just something to keep in mind as you continue to lose weight. BTW, sounds like you're doing great! Are you doing protein and vitamins and water? Good luck! Guest guest
I hope the skin tightens up a bit but I don't know if it will or not. I never thought I would think about plastic surgery but now I can see why people do it!! I am doing vitamins, iron, calcium, etc religiously. I got horribly anemic @ 4 months ago and do not want to go through that again so I am very compliant with my vitamins. I also do protein almost exclusively. I have been doing some shakes, lots of peanut butter, cottage cheese, chicken and fish. This actually brings me to another question. I never did Atkins (one of the only diets I never did!!) and wondered what the daily carb limit should be? I don't think I am doing too bad in the carb area but am not sure how many I should be limiting it to?? Anyone know? Guest guest
On some of the VBG sites I belong to it is recommended to have no more then 1/2 the protein grams in carbs. In other words, if you eat 60 grams of protein you should be eating about 30 grams of carbs but that is kind of a general rule of thumb. I've never seen it written in stone anywhere.
