Allergy Bracelet

I know we talked about this a while ago, but I finally

got an allergy bracelet for . His allergist

stressed that he needed one because of his severe

allergy to rubbing alcohol. He was concerned that we

might be in a car wreck and die of a reaction

to the alcohol they would use to start an I.V. So I

went to a drugstore and bought a medical alert

bracelet. On one side, it has the red shield and

staff, on the other side, it was blank. It was $6.95.

Then I took it to a jeweler, and they only charged me

$3.00 to engrave the back with as many allergens as

would fit. They were easy on me since it was for

medical reasons, not luxury, but they only charge 10

cents a letter anyways. I also paid them $3.00 to

take out enough links to fit around the baby's wrist,

and he put the extra links in a baggie for me to keep

so that we can add a link back in every few months as

he grows. I didn't think that $13.00 was a bad deal

at all.
