Guest guest
Hey everyone, I was hoping some people could share ways to get covered by insurance. My problem is, I have a significant prognathic lower jaw and a pushed up maxilla - my bite is 'perfect', it is called dental compensation? So when my first ortho looked at me, he said I was fine, when in reality if my upper jaw had stayed in the place it was supposed to, my lower teeth would definitely overlap my upper. I also have a very cant smile/both jaws. How do you convince the insurance company to cover the surgery that seems not necessary to the eye, but is? Although on profile my chin almost lines up with my nose, but since my teeth 'meet' they think its just my bone structure, yet my father actually has a receeding lower jaw and my mom is normal. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated, thanks
