Guest guest
I have wanted to try edible rice paper for some time, and finally found some at a tiny local store. However, I am unable to verify that it is gluten-free. Can anyone help? The round plastic box has a red rose printed prominently, contains 12 ounces, and is labeled " Spring Roll Wrapper. " There is no UPC number on the package, which is printed in several languages and " distributed by Pak Lee Trading Co. Hong Kong. " The ingredient words that I can translate are " galettes de riz, " and " de riz " is " of rice " in French...so far so good. But the English ingredients are " flour, salt, water " and we all know that " flour " is usually wheat flour. I am especially concerned because I made a long-distance call to an Asian food distributor earlier, and was told that their rice paper was not gluten-free. Hope someone knows the answer. If so, maybe you have some tips on working with rice paper? Thanks. Lorilyn
