Guest guest
I just had my surgery on Monday morning so I'll share as much as I can for those of you that have questions, but I'm also interested in those who are weeks/months into post operative life. I had upper and genioplasty surgery, an my main concern right now is numbness on my left cheek/lips/chin. Has anybody experienced this and regained feeling? Thanks everyone. It's nice to know there are other people out there to share this experience with.
Guest guest
I had upper and lower jaw surgery and genioplasty lsdt Friday. I'm surprised to note that only my chin and lower lip are completely numb. I think my chin is slowly returning to normal, as I catch trickling food earlier now (when it's right at the tip of my chin). I seem to be dripping food a lot more though. There's very partial numbness at the tips of my cheeks, but that's all. Guest guest
I had my surgery 6 weeks ago and the second and third week post op I started having tingling and even itching sensations and light burning sensations in my chin. 4th week I regained feeling in my nose, eyelids, cheeks and the left side of my lip and chin. Now my right side of my chin and lip is still numb. However there is a light tingling so hopefully nerves are healing.
