Guest guest
As far as I know, the group has yet to kick a member out just because their child's foot is fine! Please, stick around. Without the experiences of the parents who have been through this, who have followed their gut instincts, who have questioned their doctors and sought out second opinions, who have troubleshot problems with the braces and shoes and insurance this group wouldn't even exist. We have all had different clubfoot journeys--some more dramatic than others--and we all bring something important to the group. One thing's for sure, this group sure does make a clubfoot journey more lively. You can't go wrong with Dr Dobbs. Wishing you and Noah continued success, Naomi The Family Naomi Hannah(02/21/01) Jonah(06/20/03, corrected bilateral clubfoot, FAB 12/7) Bri wrote: Well I am back online now and have some good news on my son Noah. We went to see Dr.Ponseti on the 10th of this month. I do have to say that he is very sweet. We all loved him. He looked at Noah's foot and made him do alot of walkin and runnin. He said his foot is not perfect. (not as good as if he would have done it ) But it is a good foot. I talked to him about the doctor we are seeing in Kansas City and he said that there are many red flags out there. I also told him about Dr. Dobbs and he said that he is a very good man that he worked under him and that I should work on seeing him for now on. Which we plan on doing. I am not going to see this doctor in kansas city anymore. Dr.Ponseti said that we should not do any Botox shots, and that we don't need to waste the money on therapy he is fine!! I am so happy. So he dosen't need braces, casts or the bar. His foot is alittle stiff but Dr.P said it was nothing to worry about. So like all have said I have been worried over nothing. But I am glad that I did worry enough to get him into to see Dr.P. I want to thank all that have been there and know my storie. I would like to stay in the group and help others. If that is ok? Guest guest
Bri, Oh, I am so glad! I have been worried about you guys since the last time you posted that you weren't going to be able to make it to Dr. Dobbs right away afterall. I'm so happy that Noah got a good report from Dr. P. And of course you can hang around! If you don't mind, would you tell us who the doctor is in KC that you were seeing that Dr. Ponseti said had lots of red flags? Always nice to note, in case there are other parents who are having the same problems with the same doctors. Thanks and Congrats!
