Guest guest
The button is used I think to hold the tendon in place with stitches after they move it to the new spot, I don't think that is related to the plantar facsia release. I heard it could leave an indent of the buttom of the foot from another mom who's daughter was staying at the RMH at the same time as us for a followup appoinement. It is like a shirt button they use. But to be completly honest I don't see any indent scar on the bottom of Collin's foot so I'm thinking it must be different for everyone, he just has a mark where the stitches were still sticking out of his foot from when they cut the botton when they removed his cast. They said often it just falls off when the remove the cast but it was still attached for Collin's case. I wish I could tell you exactly what the plantar facsia release was, but I don't remember exactly anymore so much happened in the past few months that I only retained so much I think LOL!!!
