Guest guest
Mine do!! Actually, my dogs all try to pull the same trick on each other, but only one falls for it. Our first dog, Comet, would go to the back door when she wanted out. So when we got Tux-- and she'd tired of him, she'd go to the door, and he'd race to beat her outside. He'd bolt past her, and then dash to the end of the deck, and she'd be turned back around-- in sitting inside watching him with that look-- "sucker, now you're out and I'm in--getting all the attention." When she died, we got a yellow lab-- Tara. Well, Tux figured he'd teach her the "door" trick. He'd go to the door, dash out, and race to the end of the deck. She'd sit down by the back door and watch him. Still inside. Then Torey moved out and took Tara with him, so we got a chocolate lab-- Jade. Tux has got it down now. He goes to the back door, I let him out, he dashes the length of the deck, looks back, and Jade is sitting inside, paying no attention to him-- she knows she has our undivided attention now! Poor Tux-- he still has the same look of befuddlement that he's always had during the exercise-- and still can't figure out why it doesn't work for him. Ahh, life is good!
