Maybe you mean Bean Threads by KaMe? Ingredients are Mung Bean Starch and

water. Funny, I bought these for the first time today but wasn't going to use

them until calling the company. Anyone know offhand if these are OK? Based on

ingredients, they should be.

Not, not bean sprouts, but a rice noodle that looks like the bean noodle put

out by the same company. Is this maybe what you mean? I am drawing a

blank on the name (ate off diet today and it shows!) but they look like

angel hair pasta, are cheap, contain rice and cornstarch, and they puff up

in hot fat so are usually used, fried, in oriental salads. You just soak

them in warm water for a little while, then drop them in hot water or steam

them briefly. Before Tinkyada, we ate " angel hair pasta " with spaghetti

sauce many many nights.

As for bean sprouts, hmm. Ought to try them, we ate them a lot when I was a

kid, my mom had a recipe for " chop suey " .
