Guest guest
My daughter at times does something similar with paper- chews it or chews little threads. She doesn't eat them just chews them. Some paper does contain gluten. So in fact she may be trying to get her " fix " She chews different paper so it is difficult to find out if a particular kinds contains gluten. Some children w/ASD also crave the stim so it maybe a type of self stim also. Someone also wrote about eating odd things r/t anemia. That can be right on too since our kids generally have different kind of eating habits and their metabolism or how they absorb nutrients may be also affected. Hope that helps Jeneane, Houston Nick 5-NT 3-PDD Nos Beth 2-NT
