Guest guest
I have been trying to find a good Omega 3 source and thought I found one in the Coromega, orange-flavored brand. My 2 yo just licked the pleasant-tasting stuff right off the spoon. Only trouble is, as we've almost completed our second month on the diet, I am discover that she is highly reactive to 'phenols.' I think the natural orange flavor in the Coromega may be the culprit of some hyperactive behavior after ingesting it. So, I'm trying to switch to flax. My first attempt was grinding up flax seeds into a powder and sprinkling it in her foods. Well, that resulted in the most amazing diarrhea...almost sandy, grainy texture to it. So, I figured flax was out. However, in talking with the owner of the little natural food place around the corner, I learned that there is flax seed oil with all the fiber removed. So I bought some and I put about 1/2 tsp into some food and am waiting for any result. So far, no noticeable problem. My question is, how much of this do I give her each day to insure she is getting the right amount of the EFAs? She weighs about 32 pounds. Thanks, Deborah ---------------------------------
