Guest guest
Tabitha, Great news about Karter's walking! Before you know it, you will be pulling on the reigns. Or just keep chasing him in circles for hours, LOL!! About his ears, my son had bad ear infections as well. It got to the point where he was always on antibiotics and eventually they will become almost immune to them where they won't work as well. That's when the infection keeps reoccurring because it is not completely killed in the first place. It sounds pretty bad at this point in your situation. Although tubes sounds very invasive, it is a very minor procedure. Believe me, you will be sooooo much happier when you do it. My son hasn't had an ear infection since then. He was 15 months when he had his tubes put in, he is almost 4 now. My thing too was I didn't want him living on antibiotics. Everyone is different and ultimately you need to decide what will work best for you. Feel free to email me directly if you have more questions. Good luck. HTH! Tabitha Yarolim wrote: Well I don't know if I can officially say this, but Karter, 16 months on Wen., is walking. I have been waiting to post this since Saturday. He started taking 5-8 steps on Saturday. On Monday he was going 5-7 feet by himself. I really wanted to see him walk by Christmas. He gets so excited and goes to fast then he will fall. And he has not got the concept of stopping and going again. I am just overwhelmed with joy. question totally off the subject. Does anyone have any knowledge with ear infection? Karter has repeated ear infection. The Dr.'s as of yesterday have put him on a very strong antibiotic for 14 days, then after that will be on a " maintance " dose for 4 weeks. This is 6 weeks on antibiotic. He just got off his last antibiotic on Friday morning and was screaming by Sat. afternoon. (after the dr's office closed of course) Since June 2nd he has pretty much been on medication for his ears. And no we do not smoke and he doesn't get to take milk to bed. The dr's have been talking tubes, but always wants to try something else first. As I am so happy about him walking I am just as frustrated about his ears. Hope everyone has a wonderful week Tabitha Brittanie 2-9-00 WALKING Karter bcf DBB 16-18hrs/day
Guest guest
I take nasonex for my allergies, and if I don't take it, my ears get extremely blocked and sometimes even my balance gets off. You'd be surprised how much sinuses can effect your hearing and balance and general thinking! > > Way to go Karter!!!!
