Im sure they must feel somewhat guilty for not doing all their research but there are some who are happy with what they have. If you take a look at the ossg hungry group you will see its filled with RNYers and they have a big problem with weight regain and eating issues. I had one woman ask me upon sharing what I could eat....she said " now why would you want to do that to your body?? " (eating prime rib with baked potato etc......sounds like she was a bit hungry??? I feel sorry for them! >> I got told off but good by unsubbing from a list that was mostly RNYs. The listowner wrote me a NASTY email after I unsubbed and said " maybe RNY isn't for you, but did you think of telling them about the DS? " Now - why would I tell people who already have the RNY about the DS? And why was that MY responsibility if she already knew and she was the listowner? I have heard others say " why would you do that to your body? " regarding eating things other than what they think " should " be eaten. I do not understand that line of thinking. Number 1 - if they are considering wls, then they must have a weight problem, so why are they being judgemental about what other people eat? These comments have come from people still in the considering wls stage. Unless they are just skinny " plants " who are just trying to keep making people with a weight issue feel guilty, even after they have done something to correct it?? Or - I guess there are those out there who think you must " suffer suffer suffer " for your sin of being over-weight in order to lose the lbs. Maybe they are RNY surgeons?! Sounds like something they would say! Carole
