Guest guest
Since this is being a topic lately- help. We started the diet the end of July. We were seeing some cool changes but none of the regressions or other problems people talk about. Suddenly 2 weeks ago, Enoch got watery stools hourly. after about 3 days some of my other children had stomach aches and some loose stools, it lasted aobut 48 hours. It went away. Enoch's never have. After 10 days he began to be grumpy and listless. We had already just been giving him to eat bananas rice and yogurt since he soesn't like applesauce and can't have toast. YOU know the BRAT diet. Anyway, the PT got upset and wanted to know if I had taken him to the doctor and did I think he was getting dehydrated, I just kept thinking that it was diet related somehow. SO to avoid her calling CPS I drove the 2 hours to our DAn doctor who did a stool sample then told me to keep up what I was doing. He doesn't like to put children with Autism on meds. It is now 2 weeks exactly with the watery stools. The culture hasn't come back yet. that was on Wed. of this week. Is this a typical reaction to finally getting gluten out of the diet? He is finally supposed to start school on Monday. Should I send him? The Dan doctor said not to start him until Monday, perhaps he thought it would be magically gone by then. What do I tell the school? He is still in diapers and now has a horrible yeast infection on his rear. And will the attorny in the group please tell me what my rights are as far as Child Protective Services go. I have been turned in for not giving him his vaccinations already and the school turned me in because once he had two fleas in his hair. Our cat had kittens and they had fleas and he loved to play with them. So when they come knocking on my door because he has a yeast infection what can I say. I really think they are medical policemen here. They wanted to search my house for fleas. Don't they have to have a warrant or something to do that? Back to stools. I have given him herbs for viruses and bacterial infections, gatoraide, and lots of acidolphilus. Any other suggestions? The school bus comes at 7:45 tomorrow. Help. __________________________________________________
