Guest guest
Hi Larissa, Try the Shriners website: www.shrinershq.org I, too, am going to Shriners for a second opinion. The best thing to do is call the 800#, download the application and they will get you in right away. Hope this helps. and -J'nee (born 1-7-06 bcf) In nosurgery4clubfoot , " bltarver " wrote: > > Does anybody know about Shriners hospital? I live in Oklahoma, so I > need the closest one. Guest guest
Larissa, the closest Shrine I think is in Louisana but that is NOT the place you want to go to. Go to St. Louis, Missouri to see Dr. Dobbs. I sent you his contact information a few days ago along with some other information, did you get any of it? An internet search can also get you there, too. (search: Shriner's Hospital St. Louis) shawnee (also in Oklahoma) shriners Does anybody know about Shriners hospital? I live in Oklahoma, so I need the closest one. How do I contact them. Like to know for maybe I can go get a second opinion. His PT think it's good to get a second opinion. Put the shoes on last night he just screams. He still has a little sore on right heel. I don't know if we can wait to next Wed. I'm afraid of putting them back on, he post to wear them to Wed. He been sick a couple of days, but last night got worse took to his Dr. today. They gave him a breathing treatment there. Sent the stuff home with me, so I'm afraid to put them on again. He stresses out bad. Any suggestions let me know. Guest guest
Larissa, You need to go to St. Louis. Shriners pays for ALL the medical care for the child, including shoes and the brace. They may also be able to help you with transportation and housing. The first call you should make is to Dr. Dobbs nurse a, she will help you with everything! Here is the info again: Dobbs, M.D. Shriners Hospitals for Children St. Louis Unit 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63131-3597 Tel: Fax: dobbsmatthew@... Nurse: a Porter 872-8342 ext. 273 porterkr@... St. Louis Shriners Hospital 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63131-3597 Telephone Fax Mc House West Pine House and West Pine Apartments 4381 West Pine St. Louis, MO 63108 phone: email: info@... Please make the call. There is no reason should be miserable like this. He needs Dr. Dobbs to fix his feet correctly and there is no one in your immediate area who can do this. You will not be sorry you made the trip. Guest guest
Hi Larissa, We just returned from Shriners in Los Angeles (which is where we live). It went well. It's totally free. We spoke to a couple of other parents in the waiting area and they LOVE Shriners. It's a very warm environment and tailored to children. Even if you don't go to Shriners, I highly recommend getting a second opinion. ~ > > > > > > Does anybody know about Shriners hospital? I live in Oklahoma, > so > > I > > > need the closest one.
