Guest guest
I must begin by saying how very delighted I am at Dr. Ren's skill and my success with the BPD/DS. As of 9/20/01 I am down 80 pounds!! That's just since 7/31/01. Vivat, Ren! Sadly, I have been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy. I have severe, constant pain in my feet, mostly in the toes. While the condition is supposed to correct itself, it is a very nasty inconvenience. This was, allegedly, caused by the anesthesiologist not repositioning me during surgery and not fully monitoring the neural activity. I consulted with a neurologist here in Dallas that indicated the condition can be avoided by taking some simple precautions. No one talked to me about neuropathy being a possible complication and I urge everyone to PLEASE be careful in selecting your anesthesiologist and FULLY discuss the condition. I took just whatever was thrown at me and, apparently, they cared much less about me than Dr. Ren did.
