Amount bypassed if you know? 3 feet 6. Length of common channel if you know? don't know 7. Pros of your surgery? Having my health back. Living w/out pain. Being able to care for my children. 8. Cons of your surgery? None really, unless loose skin counts, but I'll take it over the alternative 9. greatest joy- Being involved in lives of my family, not just sitting on the sidelines. 10. greatest challenge- Controlling the carbs 11. Your age at time of surgery? 39 12. Any advice to others? (about 5 lines if you can manage) Three questions to answer yes to before choosing WLS a) Have you tried EVERYTHING else w/out success. Is obesity affecting your life so adversly that even if you have complications, you still know you made the right decision. c) Can you commit yourself to making lifelong changes and doing your part as this is not a magic bullet. 13. Your surgery doc? if you care to say Dr. Gagne, West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA 14. Your regimen of food and exercise? (Please summarize in a short paragraph; aprx calories per day estimate/and minutes of what kind of exercise/and how often?) Three meals, two snacks. Usually protein only for breakfast and lunch. Avoid white sugar and white flour. (This is my regimen... sadly, I don't always follow it!) 15. Which of these adjuncts do you use? (hypnosis, prayer, affirmations, journal keeping, therapy, OA, meddies, etc.) Online support, Prayer 16. What is your daily vitamin and mineral supplementation?
