barb, i traveled from st.louis,mo to ocean springs,ms for my

surgery. my surgeon arranged for me to follow-up with a st.louis

gastro surgeon who does the rny. they have consulted on the phone so

the doc here has a clue as to what is going on with my case. but, i

am expected to go back to MS at 6 months, and probably 1 yr also, for

visits with my original surgeon. otherwise, i stay in touch with

their office on the phone, and use the local doc for any little

problems that may come up.

hope this helps. good luck!
