Guest guest
My nutritionist informed me that my son's stool yeast test came back off the charts for yeast overgrowth...she prescribed him Nystatin SUS 1000000U liquid form is this safe? the inactive ingredients list: Alcohol, flavors, glycerinand magnesium aluminiumsilicate?does anyone else use this kind? In karyn Seroussi's book she recommends a non sytemic form of nystatin in powder form(125,000 units per cc) in a stevia base....I called my pharmacy and they don't have such a thing. I called Pathway as mentioned in K. Seroussi's book although I'm not familiar with this drug store and the 800# given in her book just rings...Does anyone know of a drug store chain that carries the nystatin powder K. Seroussi used for her son? I'm holding off giving him the prescription i picked up because I'm affraid it's the wrong kind...sorry so long...please help...thanks sharon c. Guest guest
Keep trying the 800# from Pathway. We just used them last mo for our Nystatin. Insurance doesn't cover it, and it cost us $75. Good Luck!
Guest guest
Hi, I got my nystatin made by a compounding pharmacist in my area. It comes in capsules of pure nystatin powder and I mix it with a little stevia powder, water, calcium powder ( I found this makes it taste a little better), and I also mix in his subs while I am at it and then I use a syringe to squirt it all dawn his throat. He does not take insurance but I get reimbursed after I send in a form he gives me and the bill to my prescription plan. Good Luck... > My nutritionist informed me that my son's stool yeast test came back off the > charts for yeast overgrowth...she prescribed him Nystatin SUS 1000000U liquid > form is this safe? the inactive ingredients list: Alcohol, flavors, glycerinand > magnesium aluminiumsilicate?does anyone else use this kind?
