Guest guest
OMG, I remember someone on the List saying he had really sore feet for a long time after surgery. I remember wondering why, since he was laying down - heck, the doc is the one who should have sore feet. When I have my surgery (hoping hoping hoping), I wish they would let me wear my Neuburger slippers - 2 inches of air/softness. dee --- Cindy wrote: > , > I was at one of Dr. E's support meetings where he > told us about the > table that is used for surgery. Guest guest
It makes much sense to me now. :-) Off topic, I stopped in to see my old Optifast coordinator, Kathy in Fairfax. She mentioned a friend or patient named " Cindy " who was " thinking " about having surgery. Is that you? She said she wants to track you down and catch up with you. Bri Re: Body position surgery/ , I was at one of Dr. E's support meetings where he told us about the table that is used for surgery. You are on your back (in la la land!!) and it is tilted with your head up first, I think he said 45 degree angle..while he works his magic on your stomach...then the table is tilted so your feet are up, so he can work on your intestines. Dr. E said sometimes people have told him that thier feet hurt after surgery, from standing during the surgery. By tilting the table, it moves the other organs up or down..out of the way. I hope I have explained that so you understand.
