Guest guest
what is CRP, is that C-Reactive Protein? I have been very strict with SCD for over a year now, and careful with the levels, however, can't keep my CRP down. Its now out of control at 120. I am very dependent on prednisone, and flare every time I go off it. I am disappointed that I haven't responded drammatically to SCD. I feel stress plays a fairly large part though.... and I am trying to address that, but its difficult to break habits. My symptoms haven't been that bad, just going to the toilet once a day, however its quite sloppy and I have some pains. But my CRP tells the story I guess. So need to go Imuran (6MP) or one doctor told me about a Humira program. If I am right, I think Humira is taken for a year, then you go back to maintenance medication? I am hoping that may be Pentasa....

I am hoping that may be Pentasa....>Have you considered LDN instead of prednisone?I found -- as have others here, and many people not on this list -- that LDN wroked very well (it's what I needed) in addition to/along with the diet. And it has no pernicious side effects as the conventional Crohn's drugs eventually do.n______________________________Now available. A funny, touching gift book for cat lovers.
