Re: A place for FAQ to clarify

What I meant by my original post is that it would be nice to have an

area (like the database that was started the other night) where

anyone could go when they have a question and need a quick answer. I

think I am in a different time zone than a lot of you guys. So, when

I get online and ask a question I usually don't get an answer until I

check my email digest the next day. As someone once mentioned, most

of us take this diet process one step at a time. As we read the

emails we skim over the information that we aren't ready for or we

just may be in a hurry.

For example, I might see from time to time a series of postings on a

topic but I'm in a rush, or have a child pulling at me or my child

has not had that problem since we've been on the diet so I don't pay

attention. Then in the middle of the night we have the same problem

that needs immediate attention but no one is online for an immediate

answer. I could check the FAQ section because I remember that others

had asked before but I don't remember the answer. I know you can

check the archives but sometimes I can't find things I know should be

there. I guess I use the wrong phrase or words etc..

Also, my other example is the Walmart zip file or the information

(I think -- sorry) sends out to a lot of newbies when they ask

her about rotation or meals etc.. This has come up several times.

Yes, newbies need lots of support, help and more personal contact and

information. I'm not new and I still do. But, I only have so much

time in the day and on the computer. It takes time when say 10 or 12

people ask you to send something to them (especially if you are as

computer challenged as I am). All you would have to do is say, I'll

post it to the FAQ section and everyone can go there and get it

themselves.

I hope all of this makes sense. I was just trying to find ways to

save time and energy.

On the GFCFkids yahoo site there is a section where you can post

files, this would be a great place to post the Walmart file or

any other files that need to be shared. If anyone is interested in

placing files on the GFCFkids yahoo site, please let me know and I

can assist them.

What we do on the enzyme list is to periodically post the main

documents in the Files section for the benefit of newer people that

either do not know they are there or cannot access them directly. We

put " FILE: whateverName " in the subject so people who have already

read it will know it is just a repost and can skip it.

The other thing is if there is a specific question, say, on magnesium

or mixing suggestions, from a new person, someone will email them the

needed file personally and post a reply to this effect with any other

comments they want to add. It seems to be working well, and is a

compromise among all the options.
