Guest guest
Here is my son's diet story http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/gfcftest.htm My son had sleep issues until I removed the highly phenolic foods. If your son eats fruit, you can suspect this issue also. Here is my information on that. http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/phenol.htm > Can anyone tell me any reactions their kids had to > starting GFCF diet? i.e. gas, stools, sweating, > sleeping. Guest guest
Soy could be causing the gas or stool problems if he didi nto have them prediet. For some soy is not tolerated well.In my experience athe problems you mentioned if present prediet can get temporarily worse during withdrawel-but if they are new problems for him I might suspect somthing new added to his diet might be the cause. Such as if you are using guar gum as a binder in food-that can cause gas and loose stools in some-simple fix is to switch to xanthan gum. Sleep problems are usually common among ASD kids but for many it improves greatly on the diet-it may be a initial adjustment period to bieng without gluten and casein contaioning foods. The diet is healthy and can be well balanced the only thing really needed for good health is supplemtation with calcium or the intreduction of alternative calcium rich foods like beans. Lis aF side effects of starting diet > Can anyone tell me any reactions their kids had to > starting GFCF diet? i.e. gas, stools, sweating, > sleeping.
