Hi Chris-- I have bad arthritic knees and have trouble walking-- the

issue really is movement and blood circulation to prevent clots and to

stimulate the bowels to work. It doesn't matter how far or how fast, just

get up and move, shuffle, slog, curse, moan and cry-- but MOVE. Move your

legs in bed, get out of bed and move from bed to chair, to toilet, door

and back. make the nursing station a goal, slog down there and back-- get

a wheel chair and push it along, sit and rest a bit, and try it again--

MOVE! ( think about Larry Young)

" ...We may be a thousand miles apart

But I'll be with you wherever you are

I'm already there

Take a look around

I'm the sunshine in your hair

I'm the shadow on the ground

I'm the whisper in the wind

And I'll be there 'til the end

Can you feel the love that we share

Oh I'm already there

Oh, I'm aleady there "
