Guest guest
HI all, Something strange happened to me... Seems I was showering like a week or so ago, shaving my legs when I looked down at my thigh and stopped short in shock. Seems that on the upper area of my thigh, I suddenly have a concave area...about an inch deep and about that wide-sort of, tough to verbalize. Anyway, I had slipped a bit a few days before and while it didn't hurt and was not stopping me from walking easily -just a spasm or 2 and so on...I thought it wasn't a big problem. But it was so different looking-my leg was, I had never seen anything like this just happen...it almost looks like I had a bioposy but am sure I did not. So off to the GP...thinks maybe it's a torn muscle. I went to the orthopedist-had them baffeled. The PA was like I have no idea...then the specialist hears I had surgery in AUGUST and that was the end of it-almost...he's like did you get steriods?...I was like I think so but not shots, shots were only demerol that I know of. So I was sent home to check on that. His thinking is that the direct IM Steriods may have caused the fat to disolve in that area. But I called the OS and nope! Just demerol shots. (ps-the orthoped. hadn't heard of this happening with demerol shots-but I have read that IMshots in general can do this, it was the first thing I found in my own research...but seven mths later????) so I am going into the OS-he wants to see and then prob off to get an MRI too. ya-freakin-hoo. I love being the one with the something no one really has ever seen before...how comforting right? So anyone have any knowledge about ANY of this please let me know...I am concerned and while not in pain or the like...it's uncomfortable and not something I want to wonder about-it's kinda scary. Thanks yall, JO
