Good luck to you Kristy! I am in Austin and they are even telling us to hunker down! Traffic is horrible and they have started closing school today. I can't believe it is so crazy this far inland. You would think it was an ice storm or something....lol Prayers be with you and update us when you get a chance.

Just wanted to say that anyone that is in IKE's path you are in my prayers. I am in Houston, northwest so we just don't know what is gonna happen. I sent my son to Oklahoma with his grandparents, so if we lose electricity he won't have to endure that or anything else.We evacuated during RITA, and it took 18 hours for us to go 50 miles. We ended up having to turn around- and we said we wouldn't do it again. We are not in the evac zipcode. We are going to "hunker down" as we Texans call it. God Bless!Kristy

We are fine. It has been a long 2 days but we are ok now. We just

got power back a few hours ago- and we lost part of our fence and a

large branch is in our backyard- but just a few houses down our

neighbor has a huge tree on his roof. There is destruction

everwhere mostly trees and power lines. my son is safe in OK

getting spoiled by his grandparents but I am hoping they will come

home tomorrow- I really miss him!

Thanks for the prayers!

Kristy

Hello Kristy:

Glad to hear that you are doing well. My brother evacuated Galveston Island where he lives and since the storm I have not been able to talk to him. He went to the Woodlands with his girlfriends aunts house and I have tried to call his cell phone with no luck. I am guessing the towers are down because my grandmother lives near Livingston and she has been unreachable on her Cell as well. I have seen pictures of the devistation and it looks horrible. Even downtown Houston looked bad. Good thing the prays stood up for you and your house was protected. Much luck in the weeks to come with your friends and neighbors!
