Guest guest
Is there some way u can send me a pic of his tose? my son's tose r turning into the point where he is walking on his toenails. I would like to see if it's the same thing. I sent a pic to dr.p and he said noah's foot was ( don't remember the term he said ) turning back in. I don't think that is ur case, so don't freak out please. i just want to know if it looks the same as noah's. ( if this dosen't make sense to u sorry working on 3 hours of sleep ) bri hersh222 wrote: My son has unilateral clubfoot and just got out of his tenotomy cast and into the DBB bar this past week. However, the two smallet toes on his clubfoot seem to be crooked or curved inward. I did not notice this prior to casting and was wondering if this could be a result of the casts, which came all the way down to his toes. If so, will this correct itself? When the Dr. took of the last cast, he said that the tendons going to the small toes were tight. Could tight tendons cause the toes to curve? Guest guest
Hi, It could be from the casting (could you see all 5 toes during the casting stage?), but it could also just be inherent in his foot and is more noticeable as his feet get larger. It's not an issue for most children. The toes can be taped if necessary. If a toe was really bad, where it would be bent under his foot or another toe which would cause problems, they could operate on the tendon. The " curly toes " or " curvy toes " thing is pretty common among the kids. Hope this helps some- & (3-16-00, left clubfoot)
Guest guest
I just wanted to say that I wasn't born with clubfoot, yet my pinky toes are curled. I walk on the sides of them which gets really annoying if I have to trim my nails! My son's look just like mine, so I never thought it was a part of the clubfoot.
