Guest guest
Joanne,Check the 'files' section for this group, I think you will find some info there.AmeliaHusband UC 9 years, SCD 19 monthsLDN 3 mgTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Mon, February 8, 2010 6:38:41 AMSubject: Yeast & e-coli issues Hi, I've been on SCD since Aug 2008 for leaky gut. I've had a number of setbacks (food poisoning, cold virus which somehow affected my stomach) and each time I have to go back to the start of the diet. This is very frustrating! At the moment I have a yeast & e-coli problem. I'm taking probiotics and s-boulardii. I'm thinking of trying natural anti-fungals and I've read you have to rotate them. What is the process for doing this? Do I use 2 different ant-fungals (eg: oil of oregano & GSE) and take each one for a week. How long will I need to take them for? Are there any other suggestions to get rid of the yeast and e-coli? (I tried to complete a search on the yahoo group and it wouldn't show any messages after March 2009. Do other people have this issue?) Thanks Joanne Leaky gut SCD since Aug

How long will I need to take them for?Until the problem resolves. Are there any other suggestions to get rid of the yeast and e-coli? I don't know anything about e coli, but Kim has a yeast diet protocol (in addition to SCD)in the files. It's not uncommon to have setbacks in the first year you're on SCD, and to have to go back to the intro for a bit. There are also periodic flares which occur as the bad bacteria object to being starved out of their cozy home, your gut. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
Hi Joanne, How do you know you have E.Coli issues? Was it found by stool testing? The doctor did not put you on antibiotics after that? the best way to resolve that is to have your gut populated with physiological E. coli (we should have a friendly strain of E. coli in our intestines to produce vitamins and protect us from invasions of pathological E. coli) Lucy SCD 5 years > > Joanne, > > Check the 'files' section for this group, I think you will find some info there. > > Amelia > Husband UC 9 years, SCD 19 months > LDN 3 mg > > > > > > ________________________________ > > To: BTVC-SCD > Sent: Mon, February 8, 2010 6:38:41 AM > Subject: Yeast & e-coli issues > > > Hi, > I've been on SCD since Aug 2008 for leaky gut.
